The Syrian conflict continues and tensions remain high there as well as throughout the Middle East. Political resolution for Syria to eliminate its chemical weapons may be a step in the right direction. However, history shows that political resolutions do not work.
We live in the modern scientific world. Statistical methods and approaches have been
used broadly in many fields. If there is a statistically validated solution to remove and prevent violence and poverty - it should be
utilized. Especially that previously used methods have not been backed by rigorous research regarding their effectiveness and lack even a remote
guarantee of success. The effective approach , as often in history, arrives from the least expected side. The solution
comes from the field of social sciences and modern statistics -- not from the field of politics.
The GAPWM salutes the publications which showed foresight and courage and published articles on the scientific approach to end war and terrorism. We
hope the publications worldwide spreading the information regarding scientific facts will bring this solution to the attention of world leaders.
When all who desire peace and progress on the planet join together and cooperate, we can avoid another war.
