David Victor Keller
Vice President and Co-Founder
David Keller, CFA is a Vice President at BlackRock where he is a senior member of the Portfolio Analytics Group. During the financial crisis Mr. Keller was involved in some of the most historic and unprecedented transactions of our time. Most notably, Mr. Keller was a member of a small team tasked with establishment of the Maiden Lane facility in 2008 on behalf of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRB-NY). Maiden Lane, LLC was created to facilitate the merger of JP Morgan Chase & Co. (JPMC) and Bear Stearns Companies, Inc. (Bear Stearns) by purchasing approximately $30 billion in assets from the mortgage desk at Bear Stearns. David spent the following five years working closely with the Portfolio Management Group on management and subsequent disposition of the portfolio resulting in $2.88n gain to the FRB-NY.
Mr. Keller graduated Suma Cum Laude from the George Washington University with a degree in Finance and Economics. He also holds the Certified Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute (CFAI) and New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA).
Mr. Keller was born in Krakow, Poland and at the very young age travelled widely throughout Europe to participate in Art Symposia organized by the European Community. At the age of five, he was accepted by the Mieczyslaw Karlowicz Music Academy in Krakow, Poland where he underwent rigorous training as a concert pianist under the wings of world-renowned faculty. Mr. Keller also had a successful singing career, having recorded three albums, and made numerous music videos, public performances, and television appearances by age eleven.
